On the evening of October 26th and 27th, St. John’s Lodge will be conducting a “haunted house” at the William Pitt Tavern in conjunction with Strawbery Banke’s annual Halloween celebration “Ghosts On the Banke”.  The event lasts both nights from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  We need “haunters” for both nights as well as Halloween related decorations and (from the description of the crowds that show up for this) LOTS of candy to give out.  If you have any decorations or candy you would like to donate – you can drop them off a the lodge or, or directly at the W.P. Tavern (second Floor) between 10: 00a.m. and 5:00 p.m. any Friday up to October 19th. The Tavern museum will be closing for the season on the 19th of October.  From then until the 26th we will be “decorating” for the Haunted Tavern nights.  If you are interested in helping, check with brother Rod Mac Donald, the museum curator, for times when we will have brothers coming in to do the “transformation”.

(Decorative Items we are looking for: Black Lights, Simulated Spider/Cob webs, “skeleton” or “ghostly figures”, glow-in-the-dark items, jack-o-lanterns, scary masks or other “spooky items).

This could be a lot of fun so please join in!
