There has been a long interwoven history shared by Portsmouth’s St. John’s Masonic Lodge and St. John’s Episcopal Church- but did you know how closely tied the two were over the last 277 years. Most of us are familiar with the Lodges traditional annual June march to St. John’s Church on St. John’s Sunday and not much beyond that single event. Well, you will soon have the chance to learn a lot more. On Wednesday June 3, 2015, at our Stated Communication, Brother Dick Davidson will be giving a presentation to the Lodge on its historic ties to St. John’s Church. This will be followed by a tour of St. Johns Church on July 18, 2015 from 8:00 to from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Coffee and Doughnuts will be served prior to the tour (9:00 a.m.) in the St. John’d Parish Hall Please mark your calendar for this our first in a series of “Masonry in Portsmouth History” programs.
