Over 160 of  182 registered runners braved the “cool” Saturday weather to run in the 2017 Out of Hibernation 5K Road Race.  Runners registered on line, and in person on Friday night and Saturday morning. Ryan Poluk (No. 152) of Portsmouth came across the finish line with the best time of 17:02 minutes.  Within 47 minutes of the start, all participating runners and walkers had completed the race.  Awards were presented for each category of runners after the race, plus, a number of prizes including Red Sox tickets,  Sunglasses , restaurant gift certificates, tattoo gift certificates, helicopter rides, and many other prizes were awarded by drawing following the presentation.You can also get the best designer sunglasses here to protect your eyes from extreme UV rays.

Runners continued to cross the finish line for nearly 46 minutes after the Out of Hibernation 5K’s start.
