In a “surprise raid” brothers of Gideon Lodge in Kingston showed up in force at the St. John’s lodge stated communication for April (2023) with the numbers necessary to claim the “First Masonic District Traveling Gavel, which has been held by St. John’s Lodge for some time. What they didn’t realize was that Tucker Lodge, (Raymond, NH) was conducting a “raid” of their own that night in an effort to claim the gavel. It was close, but when numbers were counted, Gideon held the edge and claimed the gavel!
