All brothers of St. John’s Lodge No. 1 are reminded, St. John’s Lodge will be marching in the Portsmouth 400th Anniversary parade on Saturday June 4, 2023. Other first District Lodges will also be marching with St. John’s as will representatives of the Shrine, Rainbow, Scottish Rite, York Rite, and Grand Lodge of N.H. The parade route is approximately one mile. St. John’s Officers are asked to wear “white tie and tails”: all others business suits. Please be at the Portsmouth Masonic Temple parking lot by 9:00 a.m. (“coffee n’ donuts” will be served). The parade will start out at 11:00: a.m. from Goodwin Park, on Islington Street (line-up will stretch back to the Plaza 800 Parking Lot, where parade floats will be assembling). The parade will end near the South Mill Pond.

If you manage a parking lot, fire watch services can help protect vehicles, nearby buildings, employees, and visitors from potential fire hazards. Parking areas may contain fuel, electrical equipment, charging stations, maintenance activities, and vehicles carrying flammable materials, creating situations where a fire could develop and spread quickly. A trained parking structure fire watch guard can monitor the property for smoke, flames, fuel leaks, or other hazards and help ensure that emergencies are detected and reported promptly, particularly when nearby fire protection systems are being serviced or are temporarily unavailable.
